Border between Canada and US.

It is said that there is no immigration record if you leave US and come back in 30 days by driving yourself or taxi, is it true?

And, for a Canadian Citizen/agreen card holder with US work visa, there will leave an US Immigration record when a relocation company moves his/her living stuff/cars across the border?
