Biomatrics Code 2

Background: I140/480 submited in Jan. 2004,to NSC, Basked on NIW
Fingerprint in June 2004,( no code indicated)
waiting
Submitted EAD in Jan 2005,
Online saying EAD was approved a week ago, not received yet.
Biomatircs (for 485) notice recieved last Friday May 14, 2005, (I140 still pending)

Question: A).Does every people have to do a Fingerprint AND a Biomatrics? Since Biomatrics include a digital picture and Fingerprint, why not just have the Biomatics intead of both.

B). What does this "Code 2" mean, Is it a positive sign for my 140 or 485? in what way?
