I-485-to-GC

we just received my son 's ( 10 years old) I-485 approval
notice. It is written in the notice that "The above application has been
approved. The Immigration Card Facility will mail the new alien
registration card directly to the applicant in approximately 120 days."

but my son did not do any Biometrics. Is it correct for USCIS to send GC directly to my son? Will my son go to local immigration office with TWO PHOTOS to have Passport stamp ? Anyone who has similar experince please give advice. Thanks
