FP code is quite new, some old people may not know it at all.

3 kinds of code for FP notice for differnt purposes by USCIS:

Code 1: Fingerprints for FBI clearing.
take your 10 fingers prints.

Code 2: Biometrics
a digital photo, right hand index finger print, digital signature

Biometrics is used for making IDs issued by USCIS such as EAD card, green card.

Code 3: 1+2

When you filed I-485 you need to do code 3 FP.
If you received code 1 notice and don't do Biometrics, you will have trouble to get your card in time.
