移民加拿大工作經驗問題

I have a queston about the working experience of immigration to Canada.

I worked in China before. I did notarized employment document when I came to the US years ago. I don't have US working experience. Is that notarized employment document OK for working experience. Must I have to have the "Original and up-to-date letters of reference from past employers?"
