I-485 timeframe?

Do I understand correctly that after submitting application I-485, I will be notified for fingerprinting, then for interviewing/stamping on the passport, and finally waiting to receive the original greencard?

Does anyone have idea roughly (I mean roughly) how long, for California Center currently, it will take between each point? Finally, can the applicants re-schedule the appointment date for the interviewing/passport stamping?
