change job? my I140 pending

I submitted my I140 and I485 under the catalog of NIW. I am a postdoc in cancer early detection. I just got a industry offer, which is a scientist position. But no research will be involved. Can I change my job? Will it matter with my I140 if USCIS needs any reference later? Thanks for any suggestion.
