Once OPT runs out, what is your visa then?

You won't have any visa status. You have two options:
1. apply H visa to keep non-immigration status
2. let your hu*****and apply EAD with 485 and you go adjustment/immigration status directly. There are some ramifications associated with this option. eg. you won't be able to go back to any H visa "unless you go out of USA to apply for" (i am not sure the exact practice and you'd better check with an immigration lawyer.)
