we are in similar situation. someone on this board just told me that his/her friend who share the same situation as us went to canada for the visa and did gEt it. Afte that he/she (the friend) went back to china and back to U.S.A. with no problem.

one question I have for you: did you come to U.S.A. with a passport for public affair? if so, it must have expired by now. Have you got a private passport? where did you get it from china or chinese consulate in U.S.A.?
