你說的不對。Adjustment of Status的過程中不需要出美國，也不能出美國。

Adjustment of Status（I-485）的意思就是完全在美國境內拿綠卡，不需要出國。過程中不會拿移民簽證。而且在Adjustment of Status pending時，不能出美國（除非出美國前拿到Advance Parole），否則會自動放棄Adjustment of Status。不是“飛一趟不可避免”；而是“一定要避免飛一趟”，一直到拿到綠卡或Advance Parole為止。

如果去美國境外申請移民簽證，那叫Consular Processing。這是跟Adjustment of Status是兩個完全互斥的過程。如果你走Consular Processing，就不會申請Adjustment of Status（I-485）。如果你走Adjustment of Status，就不走Consular Processing，不會申請移民簽證。
