status problem, Pls advise!

Hi all,

I got from a call from a CEO(Small company), I talked with him for 30 minutes. At the end, he inquires about my stataus issue. He said I just owned the skills they required. But the status may be a problem. , he said since I am a PhD candidate, this issue probably is easily resolved.

I checked my job application history, In the Job AD, It was marked that no visa sponsorship provided for this position.

I want to send him a thanks letter mainly to ensure him not to worry about my status. How should I say it professionly without a cheating. I told him that I will not
trouble the company much when I process my H1B, I just asked compny to provide me some letters. Is that right? What is the processing H1 procedure? Pls help.
