請問法居士 I485

My I485 (through marriage to citizen) was submitted to NYC office in summer of 2003. Fingerprint received this January. NYC USCIS office told me my case was transferred to Missouri office. So far I have not heard anything. Is this normal? My two friends who filed through marriage got their GC in less than a year (that was two years ago). In term of processing speed, is the I485 through marriage faster than that through work?
