EAD Question!

I just got the receipt of my EAD application based on 485 pending. The receipt requests me to get my biometrics info taken at an Application Support Center even though I sumitted my photos with the application. Is this new requirement for EAD because I sent my EAD application to Chicago center after USCIS changed the mailing address for EAD app? How long to get EAD after the biometrics is taken? Thanks.
