"as long as a person is in the status of adjustment, he/she can ONLY use an EAD to work", I don't think the statement is correct, my case is I use AP to re-entry U.S and work with same employer but never apply EAD after file 485, I still get my GC approved, passport stamped the day before yesterday.

I totally agree with the original post and beleive that IS true.
