You are possibly wrong. Getting H1/H4 transfer approved does NOT mean you are in a good situation/status.

The problem is when you renew your H1/H4, INS possibly only checks your previous H1/H4, so you can get H1/H4 transfer approved. But when they start to review your I485, you will possibly get trouble because they will check everything at that point, especially departure/re-entry. Your passport has been stamped AOS, this means your are already in the status of adjustment. My lawyer told me as long as a person is in the status of adjustment, he/she can ONLY use an EAD to work. Otherwise, it is illeagal. So my suggestion is to ask an immigration lawyer to see if you can use your new H1 to work legally.
