8老師，中國的文件可以在美國翻譯並公證嗎？

尊敬的8老師，

為國內的父母辦綠卡，他們從沒來過美國。如果有要公證的，我可以不可以讓美國的朋友翻譯，在美國的銀行公證？因為中國辦事太麻煩了，總要求人。

就按這上麵說的：

my suggestion to you is that you may ask a friend of yours to translate the birth certificate again, and this friend needs to write a statement addressing that he/she knows both English and Chinese well, and the translation by him/her is accurate for the original document (see the links I cited for you above). Your friend had better go to the Notary Public (e.g. bank) to notarize his/her signature on the translation copy and his/her statement. Also provide the entire copy of your original birth certificate you got  公正 in China though you have provided it when you filed I-485.
