Yes, you are right. My I-485 was received on 12/3/2002. It took me only a few months to get I-140 approved and almost 2 years to get FP.

As I realized and said here before, FP is usually done 1 or 2 months after I-485 filed and/or 1 or 2 months before I-485 approval. I worked on me. :)
