前段時間發過一個帖子，詢問父母持綠卡在國內居留超過半年（重病）少於一年回美的問題，是乎問題不大。
 

現在情況發生變化，母親被診斷出得了癌症，已經手術切除還在醫院治療。由於術後要經曆至少6次化療，化療結束後她在中國的居留時間就會超過一年，這樣超過一年持綠卡回美是不是就不行了？有什麽辦法可以使得她在康複後仍然能夠持綠卡回到美國？

-She can apply for the SB-1 visa, then immigration visa in the US Consulate in Guangzhou if she stays in China for > one year due to the illness which prevent her to return to US on time. Thus, her green card status will be reinstated after she reenters US.

However, your father needs to return to US before his stay in China reaches one year, then he can apply for reentry permit to company your mother in China.
