請問:I have not been to this process for a long time. Seems like huge change since I dealt with them last time(applying citizenship)... I am a citizen and like to apply a green card for my brother (>21)
1）Does it have to apply online now (download the form and apply)? I used to download the form thru the website. Now looks like I have to pay ahead to download the firm.
-You must have visited a wrong website. Always go to the USCIS website to download the froms for free. See this for I-130:
Does it follow by the application online next? A little hesitate to go the first step now. Sorry to be a scared cat!
2) Could anyone provide over view of this process?
3) Does it make any differences between my brother is in state (of course visiting) or in China while file the form/application ? ( I-130 maybe?) What is the catch? What is the best way to do so?
-Not different. Unless he maintains a legal status in US for about 10 years, he needs to apply for the immigration visa in China.
4) What is the average waiting period for this now?
-10 to 11 years.
5) Any documentations from my bother side? Any document from my side except tax info?
-His birth certiticate is needed. Read the I-130 Instructions for more details.
