Evaluate your qualification according to the standard in this website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html. If you have a score of 67, you can apply.
If you want to spend more money and get some sort of confidence, hire a lawyer. After you sign the contract and pay the deposit, you will find a lawyer is useless.
