-Yes, but if you are the primary applicant of the green card and USCIS send you a RFE for your emloyment status, but you do not have a job, then your I-485 probably will be denied. if your I-485 is denied and you do not have a status, you have to leave US. Of course, if USCIS does not send you RFE, your I-485 will be safe and you are legal to stay in US even if you do not have a job.
