請問老師關於TN visa after I-485 pending

My wife works on her TN visa (Expiration date: Sept., 2013). On March, she submitted her I-485 as derivative. Now she still works on her TN visa. Today I got an information that it is invalid to work with TN visa after I-485 pending and she has to work on H1B or EAD. Is it correct?
