Teacher 8, to follow up my previous question, will the USCIS possibly take away my expired GC when issuing I-551 stamp on my passport?
-Normally no, but that green card is useless after you get the stamp (make a photocopy of the green card for your record).
If so, what should I do? My I-751 application is in pending status and I may want to apply for the citizenship early next year...
-The green card stamp will work for all of these before you get the permanent card.
