美國公民給wife辦綠卡. Interview is in March. Does the petitioner/citizen have to provide his birth certificate during the interview? (the petitioner was born outside of the US)

(When I applied a few years ago, I didn't have to provide my hu*****and's birth certificate.)

Has the rule/requirement changed?
