    Thank you for your help.

    I am planning to put my child to private school. So, if he is a F1 student, I can become F2 dependent because he is still a minor. 

    Will this work out?

-No. Only he can be F2 if your status is F1, not vice versa. F2 visa/status is for F1 holder's spouse or child (unmarried and < 21), not for F1 holder's parents.
