Talk to your fiend.

1) Since you have a fiend who has done it, just need to ask how he/she did it.
2) Ask your school to give you a letter to indicate your formal diploam will be coming until January, and the statement currently is the proof of your degree. You should have done this through your ISO, what did the advisor there say about this ? So, just go out and talk to people and it should help.
