8 teacher,I am in the US on H1B, my H1B is gonna expire (reaching 6 years max), if my perm is denied, can I apply to transfer to B2/B1 status in the US? or I have to go back to China and apply B1/B2 there?

will my B1/B2 mostly like be turned down or approved in such situation?

During B1/B2 pending, I can stay in the US legally until it is denied, right?

Once I receive denial notice, how long I should leave the U.S.?
