Can EACH member in family bring $10,000 cash into US without cus

If my wife and I are taking the same flight coming back from China to USA,can EACH of us bring $10,000 cash into US custom, without having to report/declare in the customs form? Meaning totally bring $20,000. Or we, as a family together, can bring only $10,000 in total? Please share your real-life experience if you have. Thanks.
