人是computational chemistry/bioinformatics的PhD，現在想去公司作純粹

programming工作，因為H1b-gap問題，隻能申請O1。這兩項工作雖然在編程上有很大重

疊，但畢竟不是同一領域，不隻這個因素會不會影響O1申請。

-You can just apply for the H1 and then, go outside US to get the H1 visa to come back. Also, if your status has gap, you can not get the O1 within US and has to go outside US to get the O1 visa. So, no difference in this point, but O1 is more difficult to get than H1.
