請教皮匠：Urgent H1B married to US citizen

Canadian currently on H1B, will be married to US citizen. The wedding officiant told us that we need to go to Philadelphia to get immigration permit(something like that). I didn't know about that until now but we will plan to get married soon. Could you please advise if anything I need to do in order to get married and stay legally? My H1B will expired in 2012 and I'm on EB3 I-140 pending. Thanks very much for your help.
