485 is better than F1 if eligible to do so

F1 status will be treated as an International student, more difficult to get financial support from public institutes.

If your daughter has any chance to submit 485 and maintain it at least pending, she will be eligible to get financial support like other green card holders do.

But if it is not possible, changing to F1 is a good option. No hurt to your 485 as 863211 said.
