Will it be benefitial if I a written inquiry again requesting for relink?
-Yes, the I-485 is yours, not related to the sponsor/employer. You need to write a letter to USCIS to request the I-485 re-link, not just calling and email (this kind of request is not considered as the formal).

Or will an infopass to local office be benefitial or any drawback?
