Unemployment Insurance

Hi,

Just got laid-off last week. 485 pending (EB2, PD2007), could i apply for unemployment insurance from the government? Just wonder if this will affect my 485 approval. Some people said yes, but some said no. I need the money to pay my mortgage. Thanks for your help.
