I have same experience with you. I submitted I485 in Nov. 2002, 1st FP done in Mar. 2003, 2nd FP done in Aug. 2004 both in Boston with machine. Online status does not get updated (still 1st FP). It takes hours to weeks for FBI to return the FP review to INS. If over 30 days withiut FP update, you can write a letter to INS for inquiry. That is the best you can do. Wait and pray...
