朋友是物理專業PHD，馬上要畢業了，按規定有27個月的OPT，但聽說有規定是必須在OPT開始啟用的頭三個月裏找到工作，
-Correct. You can find a part-time, contract, volunteer, paid or unpaid job if you can not find a rull-time job as long as these kind of jobs are related to your study program/major.
否則，不能用這27個月的opt，而且必須離境，現在這個規定改了嗎？
- Nothing change. By the way, there is not 27個月的opt, but 12-month OPT and STEM majors can extend the OPT for another 15-month period after the 12-month OPT finish.
