I am having the same problem. Just lost job and H1b will be canceled soon. Trying to find new jobs, but haven't got anything yet. Once companies heard that i need H1b, they just have no further interest. I feel really hopeless now.
Somehow it makes me feel a little better when i know there are other people like me. Let's try to encourage each other a little. Maybe things will change soon.
