TN Visa Expiration Date, Please help! thx!

TN extension approval, expiration date 9/1/09. Went out of US and reentered in May 09, so, in the white card, the stamp gives me TN expiration date 5/20/10. Please kindly advice, when should be my official TN expiration date? 9/1/09 or 5/20/10? -- so i know when i should do the next extension. Many thanks!
