EAD application is similar to AP application. Your new EAD application is treated as a new case, and if you do not want to hire the your lawyer ( who is in charge of your I-485/old AP/old EAD) to deal this AP/EAD again, you do not need to let him/her know and do not need fire him/her not to deal with your I-485.
