我的情況是：作為dependent I-485 pending,因離婚主動給USCIS 寫信（寄的普通信件，不知道USCIS是否收到）要求撤回I-485申請，但是一直沒有得到USCIS回複，現在查我的I-485 status,仍是pending，現在的身份是H-1B,但是馬上就要被layoff,請問layoff後我還能不能以I-485 pending 合法留在美國？

Your divorce may result in a denial of I-485, but you are still in status during pendancy of I-485 regardless the fact you have been divorced.
If you have yet received a denial letter, your I-485 is still pending, thus you're still in status of AOS even you're no longer in H-1b due to being laid-off.

如果不能，我能夠轉成F-1身份嗎？
