In my understanding, I-485 is for people who are in the States.

In your case, your hu*****and is still working in Canada. Even your PD becomes current, can he stay here in the States? Is he going to quit his job in Canada?

I don't think that your EAD is going to affect him in terms of entry to US as he is Canadian citizen.
