Renew Passport in Houston. How many days should i plan to stay?

Dear all,

I am planning to go to Houston to renew my passport in February. I will be there to apply for the renewal, but will have the new passport mailed back to me.

I am booking my flight and hotel now. How many days should I stay there? Is one day enough? Many thanks for your help.
