skilled worker is not EX1. EX1 is for nurse or physical therapist. Also no where in I-485 form you will fill in those codes, you don't tell USCIS what code in I485 form (because some people do have several eligibility categories such as EB1, EB2, FB1, marriage to USC, all at the same time...), USCIS will decide one for you based on your immigrant petition(s). Although you may write it in cover letter, but they don't just deny I-485 because you wrote the category wrong in cover letter, if you do have an immigrant petition with PD current at the time of I485 submisssion.
