since you are dependent, nothing to worry about. follow those step and you are in good shape:
1. if your wife's H1 still be valid, first change your status to H4. so you can still legal stay EVEN regarding of your I-485 result.

2. mean while, apply EAD, so you can start to work anytime there is chance, including open business.

For those with I-485 pending, it is good idea to ALWAYS have AP/EAD with you. It will NOT affect your current status if you DO NOT use it.
