My mom's B-2 visa is valid from 12/27/2007 to 12/16/2008. She visited us on 3/8. Her I-94 was valid until 9/7/08. She left on that day.

My hu*****and will visit China next week. So we would like my mom to come with my hu*****and on 12/9. But I am not sure if there is a problem for her get new I-94 since she stayed in US for 6 months and back to China just 3 month, even with a valid visa.

Please share your opinion. Will my hu*****and have to give the customs officer an excuse, such as holidays season or it is convenient for my mom to travel with him?

I also would like to know how to convince the officer to give my mom 6 months again. I would like to apply GC for her here. My father passed away. It will be very difficult for my mom to apply GC in China.
