H1 延期問題...

H1 will expire in two months, if I file H1 extension now and it needs 4 months to get approved, then:
(1) Will I be in status when I get my approval?
(2) Due to promotion, can I, or should I change the job description in H1 application now? By doing so, will it affect my pending LCA application? or is it good for my LCA application?
