To pjiang: can I have gap between employments after I-485 pendin

pjiang and all:

my i-140 was approved and i-485 has been pending for more than 180 days. my employer might layoff me soon, before i find my next job, there will be gap. is it going to an issue? how many days can I be unemployed, is there a limit?
