Why this date August 15? the last day of summer session?? the deadline to enroll?? I-20 expiration? If none, why not select another date, say in September to finish your F1 status as recorded in SEVIS.
Technically, you will be in unlawful stay and it starts to count from that date to the 10-1 date on your new H1 I-94.
