XBT,will calling USCIS to push for faster 485 jurisdiction causi

XBT,will calling USCIS to push for faster 485 jurisdiction causing any uncessary trouble on 485 approval? My friend's lawyer doesn't want to make the service call and won't allow my friend to call neither. It's really hard to just wait for nothing.
I140 approved
I485 pending over a year.
