after the valid I-94 (expired 10/15/07) is out of status. Actually, we applied the I-539 extension last August, wanted a new extension to 4/15/08. However, they are so slow at processing the case. We just received the denial letter yesterday, which is already passed the required extension date. So from CIS' point, my parents already overstayed more than 180 days, it's really ridiculous!!
