Who is more powerful here? The company (or bosses)? She? Should not you people show more simpathe to the disadvantage side?

GC card is nothing for her bosses and the company, and it's the company normal practice to sponsor for emoplyee, but it THE most important thing for her, her family. I think people go through the GC application shall all feel that pain
